Chris Kimble Appointed to American Health Law Association’s Dispute Resolution Service Review Board

Chris Kimble, partner in the firm’s Birmingham office and member of the Health Law Practice Group, has been appointed to the American Health Law Association’s (AHLA) Dispute Resolution Service Review Board, effective July 1, 2026.

Chris’s new appointment follows eight years of service on the American Health Law Association Dispute Resolution Council, which oversees AHLA’s dispute resolution program. Through its work, the Council and the Review Board ensure that AHLA maintains a national roster of qualified neutrals—including arbitrators, mediators, and hearing officers—with expertise in health law, and that its dispute resolution processes remain fair, efficient, and tailored to the unique needs of health care industry disputes.

AHLA is the nation's largest nonpartisan educational organization devoted to legal issues in the health care field, serving more than 12,000 members nationwide. In this volunteer leadership role, Chris will help shape AHLA's educational programming and member engagement efforts in the area of dispute resolution.

At Balch, Chris’s practice focuses on the litigation of healthcare-related issues. Chris regularly works with clients on matters including class actions, multi-district litigation, arbitrations, and administrative actions involving managed care liability, RICO, insurance disputes, arbitration, medical malpractice, ERISA disputes, provider reimbursement, insurance fraud and abuse, False Claims Act, willing provider laws, medical, drug and device liability, antitrust, peer review, staff privileges, contract disputes, professional licensure, and federal and state regulated insurance programs. In addition, Chris maintains an active counseling practice in these areas.
