Lucien Smith and Philip Gunn Named to Mississippi Top 100 Class of 2026

Lucien Smith and Philip Gunn, partners in the firm’s Public Policy & Government Relations Practice, have been named to the 2026 class of Mississippi Top 100.

Mississippi Top 100 annually honors influential leaders across business, government, culture, media, and community leadership who are making a meaningful difference throughout the state.

A former chief of staff and senior advisor to two Mississippi Governors, Lucien assists clients in achieving legislative and executive policy goals, overcoming regulatory obstacles, and partnering with government, in a broad range of industries.  

Philip utilizes his 20 years of experience in the Mississippi state legislature, including service as Speaker of the House of Representatives, and deep knowledge of the inner workings of government to help clients strategize, develop, and implement legislative agendas, navigate regulatory hurdles and pursue new economic development opportunities. 

Lucien and Philip’s recognition was celebrated on May 13, 2026 at the Mississippi Top 100 annual event celebrating the state’s most influential leaders.

Previously known as Mississippi Top 50, the annual recognition expanded to Mississippi Top 100, with Lucien now having been recognized three times and Philip earning the distinction six times throughout their careers.
