Ashley Cannady and Marcus Chatterton Spoke on Employers’ Use of Social Media Discovery at 2016 Alabama Workers’ Comp Conference

Ashley Cannady, attorney in the firm’s Jackson office and member of the Labor & Employment Practice, and Marcus Chatterton, attorney in the firm’s Birmingham office and member of the Litigation Practice, spoke at the 2016 Alabama Workers’ Comp Conference on Sept. 30, 2016, regarding employers’ use of social media in their hiring and firing practices. Ashley discussed social media through the labor and employment lens, including how to use social media in human resources departments, while Marcus examined the litigation concerns, including how to research, collect and use social media to defend your company in litigation.

The conference took place in Birmingham, and was attended by employers, insurance adjusters, third party administrators, safety and human resource managers, plaintiffs’ and defense attorneys and in-house counsel.
