Dart Meadows Interviewed on Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel Podcast
Dart Meadows, a partner in the Atlanta office and a member of the Litigation Practice, was recently featured on the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel's (FDCC) podcast, "FedSpeaks," in which he discussed the intersection of athletics and its impact on his legal career.
In the episode published on July 25, 2024, Dart shared his lifelong tennis journey and highlighted how lessons from the sport have been applicable to his legal career. He also offered advice to young athletes considering a career in the law.
“Dealing with adversity, goal setting, wanting to beat a certain player, wanting to win a certain tournament… all of those goal setting things translate really well to law,” Dart said. “You want to get a job as lawyer. You want to ultimately make partner. You want to move up in the firm...”
Dart also discussed the valuable lessons learned from losses on the court and the need to persevere through challenges.
“The law is intellectually challenging. It’s competitive,” said Dart. “I’ve always been a litigator and I’ve always felt that what I learned from playing competitive tennis helped me to compete better as a litigator.”
Dart is a trial lawyer with 40 years of experience in successfully resolving a wide variety of complex disputes. He has tried and defended hundreds of cases in state and federal court in over 35 states. His focus is on business litigation, product liability, healthcare, and real estate litigation. Dart has developed a national practice representing domestic and international woodworking machinery manufacturers, distributors, and dealers in product liability litigation.
