    I represent electric utilities, casinos, physicians in business disputes, and landowners. I also represent debt collection companies in FDCPA, FCRA, and identity theft disputes. I am called upon to represent clients in bet the company cases.

  • Following Hurricane Katrina in 2005, Jonathan obtained over $170 million in insurance proceeds on behalf of the Hard Rock Casino and Hotel to rebuild. (2008)
  • Jonathan successfully argued summary judgment motions in Federal Court resulting in the dismissal of approximately 100 hurricane related property claims against Crowley Liner Services in which 18 wheeler containers were washed ashore during Hurricane Katrina. (2008)
  • Bench verdict in favor of an individual Chief Financial Officer invalidating a covenant not to compete in the ATM industry. (2008); Bench verdict enforcing covenant not to compete and Mississippi Trade Secrets Act against former Chief Financial Officer and employee of PSLNA. (2013); Judgment following bench trial enforcing covenant not to compete and Mississippi Trade Secrets Act against former employees of Canon Solutions America, Inc. (2014)
  • Bench verdict in favor of a construction company resuling from alleged construction defects (damages and attorneys' fees awarded to client).  (2008)  Bench verdict was upheld by the Mississippi Court of Appeals in favor of client. (2010)
  • Arbitration award of $57,033,510 on behalf of the Mississippi State Port Authority against the Federal Emergency Management Agency in Washington, D.C.  (FEMA offered 44 million prior to arbitration). (2010)
  • Jury verdict of $0 in defense of physician resulting from claims by former partners for breach of covenant not to compete and breach of fiduciary duty.  Jury Verdict of $1,089,000 on behalf of physician against former partners resulting from breach of contract. (2011)
  • Jury verdict in favor of landowner for approximately $1,800,000 against the Mississippi Department of Transportation Commission in an eminent domain proceeding. (2011)
  • Jury verdict (all-female Jury) for an engineering firm against developer. (2013)
  • Bench verdict invalidating covenant not to compete against two gynecologists.(2015)
  • Jury verdict for homeowners against State Farm resulting from a tornado. (2015)
