About Katie
Q&A
  • What previous experiences, prior to your work at Balch, influence your practice?

Prior to joining Balch, I served as in-house counsel for an insurance company where I served as the primary legal counsel for the company’s broker-dealer, RIA, brokerage general agency (BGA) and insurance distribution channels in all aspects. This experience gave me unparalleled insights into what clients need and want from their legal counsel.

Additionally, I am an experienced litigator which allows me to bring a unique and valuable perspective to my corporate and transactional process.

  • What do you find most exciting about your work?

I love collaborating with clients to bring creative and efficient solutions to fit their unique legal needs.  Having a diverse practice allows me the opportunity to tackle unique and exciting legal issues which also feeds my love of learning.
