Bea Tolsdorf

I represent many healthcare providers, including hospitals, individual physicians and practitioners, physician practice groups, nursing facilities, rehabilitation facilities, and dialysis facilities.  

I represent providers in appeals of Medicaid reimbursement decisions at both the administrative and appellate level. I assist clients with the preparation and filing of certificate of need applications, and likewise represent providers seeking to contest certificate of need applications that do not satisfy the requisite criteria for approval. Additionally, I review proposed projects, contracts and transactions for clients prior to implementation to ensure that the same complies with applicable state and federal requirements.  

I am very active with the Junior League of Jackson. I dedicate a minimum of 50 volunteer hours each year to the Junior League of Jackson which in turn helps to support over 30 community projects. My children's education is a top priority for my family and therefore, I aim to devote as much of my free time as practicable to the Madison Avenue Elementary Parent Teacher Organization (PTO). My family is a member of St. Richard Catholic Church in Jackson, Mississippi. 

Prior to returning to private practice, I served as a Special Assistant Attorney General (SAAG) to the Mississippi State Department of Health for seven years. This experience provided me with valuable insight into how administrative procedures and processes work in an everyday atmosphere. My practice as a SAAG also allowed me to obtain courtroom exposure and gain hands-on experience early in my legal career.
