Balch‘s Ricky Cox Appointed To The Mississippi State Board Of Banking Review

Balch & Bingham is proud to announce that Ricky Cox, managing partner in the Gulfport office, has been appointed to the Mississippi State Board of Banking Review. The Board is comprised of five members appointed by the Governor of Mississippi, Phil Bryant, with the advisement of the Senate. Once appointed, the members make rulings on claims of new bank charters, conversion charters and protested branches. Ricky will represent the 2nd Supreme Court District until March 23, 2023.

Ricky is a member of Balch’s Corporate, Energy and Real Estate Practices. He represents clients on utility and commercial matters, focusing primarily on energy regulation and rate proceedings, energy and utility litigation and energy project development and transactions, including renewable energy project development and sales agreements.  

Ricky’s experience in energy law has earned him recognition by Chambers USA and Best Lawyers for his work in Energy & Natural Resources in Mississippi. Within the Mississippi business community, Ricky was a member of the Leadership Mississippi (2015) and Leadership Gulf Coast (2002) classes, and was recognized as a Top 10 Business Leader by the Journal of South Mississippi Business and a Mississippi Business Journal Top 40 Under 40 honoree.
