Balch & Bingham is pleased to welcome two new attorneys to the firm, including Johnathan Billings, who joins the Birmingham, Ala. office as a member of the Real Estate Practice and Christopher K. Walker, who joins the Jacksonville, Fla. office as a member of the Litigation Practice.
Christopher K. Walker represents a wide variety of corporate clients in complex civil matters in federal and state courts. He has experience in banking and consumer finance matters, having spent several years clerking for the Florida Supreme Court prior to joining Balch. During his clerkship, Christopher worked on a wide variety of appellate cases, attorney and judicial discipline matters, and modifications to the Florida Rules of Procedure. Christopher graduated summa cum laude from Michigan State University College of Law, where he was a member of the Michigan State Law Review senior editorial team. Christopher received his MBA from Florida State University in 2017.
Johnathan Billings maintains a diverse practice representing developers, lenders and investors in transactions focused on the acquisition, financing, development and disposition of real estate. He has experience with commercial leasing, negotiating land contracts, and due diligence review. Johnathan received his J.D. from the University of Tennessee College of Law in 2020 where he worked on The Tennessee Journal of Law and Policy, which focuses on new and emerging developments in the field of law.
