Balch & Bingham’s Ricky Cox Named a Fellow by the Mississippi Bar Foundation

Balch & Bingham is pleased to announce that Ricky Cox, managing partner in the Gulfport office and member of the Energy Practice, has been named a Fellow by the Mississippi Bar Foundation (MBF). 

This prestigious honor recognizes attorneys who have achieved the highest level of professionalism, competence and leadership. 

Admission to the MBF as a Fellow is limited to 10 percent of the Mississippi Bar, making it the Foundation’s highest honor. Fellows are selected for membership based not only on their excellence as a lawyer but also by their dedication and service to the public and profession.

Ricky currently serves as the Managing Partner of the Gulfport office and enjoys a diverse practice representing clients in a wide variety of utility and commercial matters, focusing primarily on energy regulation and rate proceedings; energy and utility litigation; and energy project development and transactions, including renewable energy project development and sales agreements. 

Ricky has served on a number of boards and executive committees of community organizations including United Way of South Mississippi, Habitat for Humanity for the Mississippi Gulf Coast, the Coast Transit Authority and the American Heart Association. He is recognized by Chambers USA and The Best Lawyers in America.
