Balch & Bingham is pleased to welcome Ian Burt as he joins the firm’s Birmingham office as an attorney in the Real Estate Practice. Ian focuses his practice on all aspects of real estate transactions including acquisition, financing, development, and leasing.
“We are delighted to welcome Ian to Balch,” said John Pickering, co-chair of the Financial Services Practice. “His experience with the Alabama Department of Transportation [ALDOT] gives him a great foundation for building a real estate practice at our firm.”
Ian earned his J.D. from The University of Alabama, where he served as the student articles editor of the Law & Psychology Review. During his time at ALDOT, Ian worked as assistant counsel, where he handled a variety of work including litigation, contract drafting and review, and public finance, and represented the state before state and federal courts and administrative boards.
