Balch & Bingham Welcomes Benton Hughes to Expand Real Estate and Banking and Financial Services Practices

Balch & Bingham is pleased to welcome Benton Hughes as he joins the firm’s Birmingham office as an attorney in the Real Estate, Banking and Financial Services Practices. He focuses his practice on representing clients across the commercial real estate sector in all stages of a transaction.

Benton represents clients including owners and developers of and lenders on multifamily apartments, residential subdivision developments, retail shopping centers and office buildings. He has experience at all stages in a transaction and assists clients with the drafting and negotiation of purchase and sale agreements, commercial leases, review of due diligence materials, title examination, financing and development. Benton's practice also includes representing lenders in connection with commercial real estate lending and loan workouts.

Benton earned his J.D. from The University of Alabama School of Law. He is a member of the Alabama State Bar and serves on the Young Lawyers Executive Committee.
