Balch & Bingham Grows Energy Practice with Addition of Shelby Schepens in Austin

Balch & Bingham is pleased to announce that Shelby Schepens has joined the firm’s Energy Practice as an attorney in its Austin office.

Shelby assists clients in the energy industry on a variety of matters involving utility regulation, administrative proceedings, and compliance matters. By combining her litigation experience with a practical understanding of the regulatory environment, Shelby helps clients address complex legal issues and achieve their strategic objectives.

Shelby received her J.D., magna cum laude, from Mississippi College School of Law. She has been active in professional and civic organizations, including the Mississippi Bar Association's Young Lawyers Division and the Junior Auxiliary of Gulfport.

For more than 100 years, Balch's Energy Practice has been at the forefront of the energy sector, helping clients navigate complex challenges, market demands and emerging technologies.  Balch represents a wide range of entities in the energy arenas internationally—ranging from electric utilities, energy cooperatives, independent power producers, project developers, and investment funds.
