Restore America’s Estuaries’ 2024 Coastal & Estuarine Summit
Join Balch & Bingham at the 2024 Coastal & Estuarine Summit hosted by Restore America's Estuaries on October 6 – 10 in Arlington, Virginia. This five-day event will gather more than 1,000 professionals in the coastal restoration and management communities to explore issues, solutions, and lessons learned in their work.
Bradley Ennis, a partner in the firm’s Gulfport and Jackson offices and a member of the Environmental & Natural Resources Practice, will be present on a panel titled, “DWH Settlement Impacts to Coastal Restoration in Alabama and Mississippi.”
Bradley’s panel will focus on initiatives stemming from the Deepwater Horizon (DWH) oil spill settlement, which remains one of the largest environmental disaster settlements in history. The panel will highlight leveraged and co-funded projects across various agencies that have contributed to ecosystem-wide restoration and resiliency. Speakers will highlight the impact of DWH funding on coastal ecosystems in Alabama and Mississippi, sharing lessons learned, challenges faced, benefits achieved, and future plans.
In his practice, Bradley focuses on environmental and regulatory matters for utilities, governmental agencies, and private entities. His practice includes work under the Clean Air Act (CAA), Clean Water Act (CWA), Oil Pollution Act (OPA), the Natural Resource Damage Assessment (NRDA), Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act (CERCLA), and state wetland permitting regimes. Additionally, Bradley provides advice to clients regarding compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and compliance with Federal grants and awards received through disaster and economic recovery programs such as those awarded though the United States Department of Treasury.
