  • What do you find most exciting about your work?

    Trial work. The opportunity to appear with my clients in court is what I find most exciting about law practice. 

  • What types of clients do you represent?

    Commercial entities both large and small, governmental entities, and individuals. I also routinely represent those who have been accused of crimes by federal and state governmental entities.

Select Matters

  • Large commercial arbitration: Represented defendants in a commercial arbitration involving a 17 count, multi-million dollar, demand. Following a 6 day Final Hearing, the arbitrator found for defendants as to all 17 counts and awarded Defendants six-figures in fees and expenses.
  • Large commercial arbitration: Trial counsel for defendant in an arbitration proceeding involving an eight-figure claim by the plaintiff. Following a final hearing spanning two weeks, the arbitration panel rendered a decision in favor of the defense.
  • Healthcare fraud defense: Represented a client indicted by federal government for multi-million dollar healthcare fraud.  After a multi-week trial, client was acquitted. 
  • Representation of state agency: Represented a Mississippi governmental agency against the Federal Emergency Management Agency for claims related to the National Flood Insurance Program.
  • Representation of electric utility:  Participated in representation of an electrical utility in rate proceedings before the Mississippi Public Service Commission.
  • Mortgage fraud: Represented client charged by federal government with committing mortgage fraud.  Charges were dismissed prior to trial.
  • Representation of state agency: Defended a state agency against multi-million dollar claims sounding in tort, inverse condemnation and contract. After a 6 day jury trial, the jury returned a nominal verdict of $500.00.
  • Representation of state agency: Represented Mississippi agency in breach of construction contract.
  • White Collar Fraud defense: Represented client in a case brought by the federal government by way of a multi-count felony indictment alleging a 2 billion dollar fraud scheme. After a multi-week jury trial, the client was acquitted of all charges.
  • White Collar Fraud defense:  Represented client in a multi-count felony indictment alleging embezzlement. At the conclusion of trial, the jury acquitted the client on all counts.
