Throughout my years in firm practice and as in-house counsel for a private university, I have made it a point of emphasis to learn from clients and other attorneys. Business law is best practiced through collaboration and clear communication among all participants, whether it is the creation of an LLC, a commercial loan, an equity financing, or the acquisition or sale of a business. During the years I worked as general counsel in a university setting, I advised trustees, administrators, faculty, and others on institutional governance, regulatory compliance, policy development and management, accreditation, constitutional law, admissions, promotion and tenure, technology contracts, data security, business contracts, college athletics, and intellectual property. All of these experiences have provided me a broad perspective for how I can best help my clients in any given situation.
