Stephen Broadus, attorney in the firm’s Gulfport and Jackson offices and member of the Corporate & Commercial Practice, graduated from the Mississippi Gulf Coast Chamber of Commerce’s 2024 Leadership Gulf Coast (LGC) Class. The LGC Program aims to develop strong, community-committed alumni who will advance initiatives to strengthen the region.
LGC is an annual program designed to help emerging leaders understand real problems and opportunities in the community and to create a communication network dedicated to the improvement of the Mississippi Gulf Coast. The ten-month program covered a variety of community-focused topics during day-long sessions, including military, government, human needs and health services, economic structure of the coast, culture and heritage, education, and quality of life.
The 2024 LGC graduating class included 35 individuals from across the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Since its inception in 1991, over 900 alumni have graduated from the LGC program, many of whom continue to remain actively involved by attending alumni events and serving on the board of trustees.
At Balch, Stephen advises clients on a wide variety of corporate matters. Stephen’s main focus involves advising clients on business succession and planning, corporate governance, entity structuring and formation, and estate planning. Stephen also advises clients in the areas of estate and trust administration, non-profit and tax-exempt entities, and income tax planning.
