Chuck Burkhart Admitted to American College of Trial Lawyers

Chuck Burkhart, a partner in the firm’s Litigation Practice, was named a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers. This honor is considered one of the most prestigious recognitions in the legal profession, reserved for trial lawyers who exemplify the highest level of excellence and integrity in advocacy.

Chuck’s induction ceremony was October 2025, at the American College of Trial Lawyers Annual Meeting in Washington, D.C. 

Founded in 1950, the College is the American College of Trial Lawyers is widely recognized as the preeminent organization of trial lawyers in North America, composed of the best of the trial bar from the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico. Fellowship is extended by invitation only, following a rigorous investigation process, to experienced trial lawyers who have demonstrated the highest standards of trial advocacy, ethical conduct, professionalism, civility, and collegiality. Candidates must have at least fifteen years of trial experience before consideration for Fellowship.

For more than 28 years, Chuck has focused his practice on construction litigation, and the defense and trial of catastrophic product liability and electrical injury claims. He has substantial first-chair jury trial experience in cases ranging from multi-million dollar construction disputes, personal injury claims, commercial disputes and electrical accidents. 

Chuck has been recognized for excellence by Chambers USA, The Best Lawyers in America®, Benchmark Litigation. He is a member of the Federation of Defense & Corporate Counsel, the Alabama Defense Lawyers Association, and has been an instructor for the Alabama Defense Lawyers Association Trial Academy.
