Balch & Bingham Welcomes Nine New Associates
Balch & Bingham is pleased to welcome nine new associates to the firm: Lillie Andrews, Kevin Doh, Lamar Gillespie, Ann Marcum Hines, Lizzy Packer, Zach Stanton, Anthony Stokes, Sean Turnipseed, and Jacorius Williams.
These attorneys will work across the firm’s footprint in its Energy, Litigation, Banking & Financial Services, and Business practices.
Lillie Andrews joins the Atlanta office as a member of the Litigation Practice. She received her J.D. from Mercer University School of Law, magna cum laude, in 2025, where she received the Faculty Legal Writing Award and was a member of the Brainerd Currie Honor Society. Lillie focuses her practice on civil litigation, advising and representing clients in matters involving complex commercial litigation, property disputes, and personal injury and wrongful death. She is licensed to practice in Georgia.
Kevin Doh joins the Birmingham office as a member of the Banking & Financial Services Practice. He received his J.D. from The University of Alabama School of Law in 2025, where he served as Senior Editor of the Alabama Law Review, was a member of the Bench & Bar Legal Honor Society, and was recognized as a Capstone Legal Scholar. Kevin’s practice spans a range of commercial real estate and lending matters, guiding clients through all phases of transactions including acquisition, financing, development, and due diligence. He is licensed to practice in Alabama.
Lamar Gillespie joins the Jackson office as a member of the Public Finance Practice. He received his J.D. from Mississippi College School of Law, summa cum laude, in 2025, and was recognized with the National Association of Bond Lawyers’ Frederick L. Ballard, Jr. Memorial Scholarship. His practice focuses on advising governmental entities, financial institutions, and nonprofit organizations in a wide range of municipal finance transactions, serving as bond counsel, underwriter’s counsel, and issuer’s counsel in financings for infrastructure, education, healthcare, and economic development projects. He is licensed to practice in Mississippi.
Ann Marcum Hines joins the Birmingham office as a member of the Real Estate Practice. She received her J.D. from The University of Alabama School of Law, magna cum laude, in 2025, where she served as Senior Editor of the Alabama Law Review and was recognized as a Hugo L. Black Scholar and earned the CALI Award for International Business Transactions. Ann Marcum focuses her practice on all aspects of real estate transactions including acquisition, financing, and development. She is licensed to practice in Alabama.
Lizzy Packer joins the Birmingham office as a member of the Litigation Practice. She received her J.D. from Cumberland School of Law, magna cum laude, in 2025, where she served as Executive Editor of the Cumberland Law Review and earned multiple CALI Scholar of Merit Awards. Lizzy focuses her practice on civil litigation matters, advising clients throughout all phases of litigation in both state and federal courts. She is licensed to practice in Alabama.
Zach Stanton joins the Birmingham office as a member of the Energy Practice. He received his J.D. from The University of Alabama School of Law in 2025. Zach advises energy industry clients on federal and state regulatory matters, with a focus on electricity-related issues including nuclear power, electric transmission, fossil fuels, and renewables. He is licensed to practice in Alabama.
Anthony Stokes joins the Birmingham office as a member of the Litigation Practice. He received his J.D. from Howard University School of Law in 2025, where he was a finalist in the Charleston Court-Martial Challenge and earned the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Pre-Trial Civil Litigation. Anthony focuses his practice on civil litigation matters, advising clients through all phases of litigation in both state and federal courts. He is licensed to practice in Alabama.
Sean Turnipseed joins the Jackson office as a member of the Litigation Practice. He received his J.D. from Mississippi College School of Law, summa cum laude, in 2023, where he served as a Staff Editor of the Mississippi College Law Review, and was recognized as a Hearin Scholar, earning numerous American Jurisprudence Awards. Prior to joining Balch, Sean clerked for the Honorable Michael T. Parker in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Mississippi. Sean focuses his practice on civil litigation matters and assists clients in all stages of discovery and dispute resolution in state and federal courts. He is licensed to practice in Mississippi.
Jacorius Williams joins the Gulfport office as a member of the Banking & Financial Services Practice. He received his J.D. from the University of Mississippi School of Law in 2022, where he served as President of the Business Law Network and was a member of the Trial Advocacy Board. Prior to joining Balch, Jacorius clerked for the Honorable Cynthia A. Norton in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Missouri and for the Honorable Taylor B. McNeel in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Mississippi. Jacorius focuses his practice on creditors' rights and bankruptcy, representing financial institutions, businesses, and other creditors in all aspects of debt recovery. He is licensed to practice in Mississippi.
