Balch Attorneys Attend Energy Bar Association Annual Meeting and Conference

Balch & Bingham was proud to sponsor and attend the 2025 Energy Bar Association (EBA) Annual Meeting and Conference, held May 1-2 at the Marriott Marquis in Washington, D.C.

Andy Tunnell, Lyle Larson, Ricky Cox, and David Duhé, partners in Balch’s globally ranked Energy Practice, attended the conference and engaged in sessions alongside leaders from across the energy industry.

This premier two-day event brought together attorneys, regulators, and energy professionals from across the country for in-depth discussions on key issues shaping the energy law and policy landscape. Topics included electric utility regulation, energy transactions, environmental and public lands policy, and emerging trends in legislation and regulatory reform.

At the meeting, Ricky was elected to serve as a Board Member for the Charitable Foundation of the Energy Bar Association. The mission of the Foundation is to engage in charitable activities, including the support of worthwhile energy-related charitable projects, as well as other community service projects, through financial contributions and volunteer services provided by the Foundation, members of the Energy Bar Association and others.

For more than 100 years, Balch's Energy Practice has been at the forefront of the energy sector, helping clients navigate complex challenges, market demands and emerging technologies.  We represent a wide range of entities in the energy arenas—ranging from electric utilities, energy cooperatives, independent power producers, project developers, and investment funds.

EBA’s Annual Meeting is a cornerstone event for professionals practicing in the energy law and policy arena, offering continuing legal education and a platform for meaningful connections across sectors. Balch is proud to support and participate in efforts that advance dialogue and development within the energy law community.
