Elizabeth Flachsbart, partner in the firm’s Birmingham office and member of the Litigation Practice, has been named to the Birmingham Business Journal’s 2025 Woman to Watch list, a recognition honoring professional women who are making a powerful impact in their fields and communities.
Elizabeth is an accomplished litigator and trusted advisor to high-profile clients across the Southeast, including state and local utility companies, chemical manufacturers, insurance providers, and privately held corporations. She brings a strategic, client-first approach to high-stakes litigation, particularly in of catastrophic electrical contact cases, serious personal injury and death cases, toxic tort claims, product liability cases, insurance, and defamation claims. She remains undefeated at trial.
Outside of her practice, Elizabeth is deeply committed to mentoring and advancing the next generation of lawyers. She founded and leads the firm’s “Women in Litigation” mentoring program, is active in the firm’s recruiting efforts, and has contributed over many years in the Firm’s Susan B. Livingston Boot Camp for Success.
A former Teach for America math teacher, Elizabeth is a Fellow of the Blackburn Institute and has previously volunteered on the Birmingham Education Foundation Board and for the University of Alabama Honors College Council.
